How To Edit PNG files in Picasa Desktop Tool

The JPG image option is activated by default in Picasa. But PNG file format is not activated by default therefore to solve the problem, all you need to do is to enable the PNG file format in the options within Picasa. This will enable the PNG file format so that it can be editable in Picasa! Simple!

Firstly,

  1. On the menu bar, click on Tools –> Options.
  2. Click on the “File types” tab. You’ll see lots of file types and checkboxes next to them. Check the box next to .PNG option. Similarly if you want to edit .GIF images or any other image type then check the box next to it. Click OK.
  3. Now “Edit in Picasa” option is activated. Every time you open the image with Picasa, you’ll find the editing option enabled.

Get more Smartphone internal space!

I've been scratching my head on how to solve the insufficient space on My Galaxy Ace... for ages!
The phone came with only 178MB of internal space, which sadly is critically low by today's standard.
Even after rooting the phone and using the Apps2SD apps on the Play Store did not help at all.
Finally I stumbled across the Holy Grail solution to this dire problem. I hope this may help a lot of souls out there in winning their fight against this age old problem of insufficient space on every attempt to update or install new apps from the google play store!!

Steps to Accomplish this, you need to:
  1. Root your device.
  2. Install ClockWorkMod for your phone (CWM)
  3. Partition your SD card using CWM in boot recovery (Warning! Partitioning your SD card will wipe out what ever data you have previously in the card. So be sure to backup everything before you do this!)
  4. Then in the boot recovery, mount sdcard. After that, restart your phone.
  5. Install Link2SD app from Google Play (you can follow this link Link2SD to get the app)
  6. In the app Link2SD, go into settings then choose 'auto-link' function and set the default install location to ínternal. This method will force all apps installed on the phone to be linked in the new external partition that you created in your SD card earlier.
  7. You are done! Well, you can start batch linking your previous apps in your phone to free up all those space Finally!

Advantage?
Quoted from Link2SD website FAQ for your reading and understanding.

Link2SD

Link2SD moves apk + dex + lib files of the application to the second partition and creates symbolic links in the original locations on internal storage.
First advantage is that it can free up more space from the internal storage compared to native apps2sd method because it moves the dex file as well.

The second advantage of Link2Sd over native apps2sd is that by creating symlinks you get Android assume these apps are installed into the internal memory, though in fact all the files are located on the SD.
Therefore you can link all applicatios to SD card; widgets, services, live wallpapers etc., all of them will work without any problem from SD card.

The third advantage is that, even when you mount the SD card to your PC your linked apps are all still live and working!
Because Android unmounts the first FAT partition to share files with your computer but the second partition remains mounted. Link2SD allows you to run all of your "SD apps" even when mounted to your computer as a disk drive.

And, disadvantage is that, obviously, it requires root privilige and a second partition on your SD card.
It's not working "out-of-the-box" as native apps2sd, you need to root your device and create a second partition on your SD card yourself.
